Ask Willis: consecutive string crossings

Hey Willis,
How do you play one note per string (going up) with your
right hand?

This is one that comes up quite a bit so I posted a video demonstration.
The first example comes from the first 4 notes of Freedom Jazz Dance which requires an EADG crossing.
The second example is in the middle of Donna Lee where (if you’re on a 5-string bass) it’s a BBEAADG combination.
If you’re on a 4-string for Donna Lee it would involve just the last part EAADG.
